Default Animal pattern research....

hey guys, for those of you who know me, I love carving Santas and Santas with animals. I tend to do a lot of on line research, looking at lots of pictures of my animal subjects, for sketching and pattern ideas, and happened onto something I found very useful and thought you might too.

Just go to Bing and type in whatever animal you want and then the words coloring pages. It will bring up lots of coloring pages, some simple, some quite detailed, but many will be great inspiration for whatever animal you want to carve. Once you get the basics of the animal down, then type in Photos of (whatever animal you are going to carve) to get lots of great photos to finish off your pattern, carving and painting of the piece.

The internet....one fantastic invention!!! What did we ever do without it?!! Deborah

Hey that's a great source of potential patterns! It not only works for animals, but other subjects as well. I just typed "mountainman coloring pages" and low and behold dozens of pics for mountain men, same thing when I typed in "Hunter", "Fisherman" etc.
Thanks for sharing;
Soggy
