Hello everyone. I am new to WI and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Kelby Harrell and I live in Emporia, KS. My father is Cottonwood on this message board if you are familiar with him. I have carved off and on for several years but now want to devote more time to it. I just finished a Mike Shipeley bear from one of his roughouts. It is the one with the blue overalls. The other bear is unfinished but is one I did from scratch. ( I did the original drawing first.) I carved him back in the late 90s. I would welcome your comments. More carvings are on the way. I am finishing a bear from a roughout I got at the woodcarving rendezvous in branson over ten years ago. It has been sitting in a box since then. I thought it would be a good idea to bring it to life now. Happy Carving.

Welcome aboard, Son! You will find a great bunch of people here. Hey, I like your bear(s)! However, It's not really fair for you to be carving without the benefit of a rough out so early in your carving career! |
