Default Airliner model test prior to actual application.

To keep crisp in my area of carving I'm sort of required to find my own means to an end. I'm not sure how many times I actually drew this befor I applied it to a test fuselauge. Proof of concept models are something we don't see much of and to keep from having to pay $250.00 I'll Emulate the graphics as best as I can. This new model will have two different graphics on it. Now if I can just get the time to make them fit. I'm close though.... Do any of you do test carves? I know how many carves are in all 200 models I produce. 007.JPG

I'm thinking about copying/adapting this pencil rubbing of a factory Winchester forend carving on one of my shotguns. The original was carved in 1912 and the carver was paid $12.50! This is approx. $267 in 2009 dollars. I carved a portion of the design on this crotch walnut scrap. It's a good thing to do as you can identify any problem areas before you start the real thing. Gary
