| | 2x4 challenge? Hey all, While looking at all the neat jenga challenge pics and post I saw the 2x4 challenge mentioned a couple of times . Was that something I missed, I m new to board, but anything different sounds fun. Can anybody fill me in here?

Simple--carve something out of a piece of an ordinary construction 2x4 about 12" long.
Have fun! |

| | Re: 2x4 challenge? Once my wrist allows me to get back to carving, I'll be finishing up a creeping wolf in NW coast style. Mostly done, just got a lot of sanding and detailing left. |

The link Just Carving posted tells the story, forgot about that challenge. Some nice efforts on there. Are you going to give it a try?
The challenge is just an exercise to demonstrate that you don't need a bunch of fancy or exotic woods to carve something, the every-day, common, household, variety 2 X 4 will work just fine. Better woods work better, but it's the carver that counts.
