Default 25 in hand

Once again heres 24 of my little carved Twilight wolves,24 here cause I mailed the customer the 1st one for approval and now all I have to do again is carve 25 more for a total of 50 little wolves on this order. I know you are getting bored seeing them butttttt least you are not seeing them in your sleep like me! LOL

I start with a block of maple wood from a saw mill slab I found several years ago and in the one pict. theres the slab I cut and clean off some to start my little 3/4 inch wolves, they are shorter than 3/4 cause I start with a 3/4 inch square block.

Once the general shape is done, then the legs and ears and other details as thier fur, noises, mouths, eyes and paws. I have to be really carefull at this point to not wack off anything which would ruin the whole wolf,so far this hasnt happen. Then I stain them and allow that to dry and mount the eye ring for attaching to a bracelet and a final coat of poly.

Thanks for looking, the main thing about this post is,"I get a break!! "

Forrest

Forrest, even after all the carvings I've seen from you, it still amazes me how you get that much detail in those little bitty pieces. Fantastic!
