Default 2010 Class Vacancies in Western NY

Folks,
I've been asked to pass along information related to class openings in Western NY...

May 21, 22, and 23: Old favorite Jeff Phares will return for his unique brand of teaching an Indian head bust. Jeff is the best (my opinion) at this and his work is outstanding. You will start with a 8 x 8 x 16 block of wood from which he will create a roughout. Notice this is mallet and chisel work. Price will be in the $275 range, and a $100 deposit will be needed.

June 18, 19, and 20: CCA President Dennis Thornton will be here for a carving of a pool player chalking up his cue. This is a one piece carving and looks a little Marvish. I am attaching a pic with this email. Price in the $200-$225 range. A $50 deposit for this will be taken to reserve your spot.

Sept. 3,4 ,5: CCA member Harley Schmitgen and his wife Midge will be here to present their seminar in relief caricature carving. You have your choice of projects, and there are plenty of good ones. Check their website for some insight into their great carvings. Price is no totally known at this time but should be in the $225- $250 range. A $50 deposit will be taken.

For more information on these vacancies you can send an e-mail to Ken Kohl (kkohl49459@aol.com)
