Bob,

Sounds like Mr. Barton, will have a great Day. Nice thing is I need to go to Ind. and that would be a good time to go. So will at least plan on making it work.

I attended the 2005 Int. Carvers Conference last Friday. It was as good as last year.

I took seminars with Pete Leclair, Eldon Humphries and Glenn McMurdo.

Pete's class was all about Facial Planes and creating the proper shape of the face. That is, a caricature face, very different from a realistic face.

Eldon showed how to paint plaids and get different effects on clothing as well as demonstrating how to paint a head.

Glenn McMurdo's class dealt with what judges look for in Wildfowl carving competitions. Very informative.

Maybe it was just me, but there didn't seem to be as many people there this year as last year.

I find the seminars very informative and its great to have an opportunity to learn from and talk to such talented carvers and great people. I can't wait for next year.

Chris.
