this is a nice project. i really like how they look, and like the diamond checker pattern you created. beautiful. looking forward for more ideas you come up with :-)

Thanks Sharon,Lois, AND Bart, don't know what all will go on the stick, but their is a lot of space to fill. It is a good release, if I don't have any thing to do I'll work on the stick. Thanks again. Merle

I just might have to borrow some of your ideas for another walking stick! Those are some nice carved faces. That wood looks like it takes chip carving and your V tool very well. I'm considering taking my four jointed staff out of the corner and doing something else with it. Your staff is looking great.
