Default 1st attempt

Here's my first attempt at a Pete LeClair Bottle Stopper, I still need to finish with a wax and attach the cork but wanted to share to see if I'm on the right track or not, I think he has a little to pink skin tone and might darken it up a bit before I finish? Please share all comments good and bad as that's how I learn.

Doug, I'm like you, I think he is a little on the pink side.

You did a good job, he looks remarkably like the go-by in the book. That is the first caricature figure that I carved as well, you have a great book to learn from. I have no specific suggestions, other than don't be afraid to change up the proportions or detils on your carvings, especially when carving from a pattern or book...you don't want every carving to be identicle. Keep up the great work.
