Default 1st attempes at painting

Here are the first two pieces I have painted.

The first one was a gift to my brother. It is about 4" tall and 1.5" wide. My brother is big into kite surfing so the logo on the hat is a logo for a kite board company.

The second one is a Santa I was just piddling with and my wife claimed it. It is about 4" tall and less than an inch wide.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Mtngoat: Looked at your pieces with your first attempt at painting. The images do not enlarge much so it's difficult to get a close-up view, however they look pretty good to me. I am an artist and have been painting for 20 years and my fellow carvers at the local club seem to think I do a really good job on the carvings (everyone comes to me for help now) so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask or even send a PM. Keep on paintin'.

Chimo,

Leslie
