Course we've had bad storms all wk end in our area but the Greeneville,Tn show was really neat plus loaded with some super carvings and talented carvers. Its always a great show and the reason for that is the people and club members that put it on.

They have the fastest ck in on your carvings than any show I've been too,with my carvings it might have taken 10 mins,I had 33 carvings. They use the PC to ck you in and its so fast. Give them your carving list and the placement people have the proper information and your carving is on its way to the correct division & category.

Courses there snacks and coffee and drinks all day for you plus the banquet that Sat night,Ohhh my goodness,all home cooking and every type of dishes & desserts you can think of,my wife knew to bring our big wheel barrel,to wheel me out to our car later that night. What makes this show is the down home atmosphere,course you know me,Im not shy anyways! Its not the bigest show but it is one of the best!!

I didnt take alot of pictures,just some I thought was neat.

There was 44 carvers with 251 carvings. They had carvings from Juveniles,Novice,Intermediate,Open and Professionals. Its very important to have the youth/juveniles cause they are the future carvers to carry on our craft of carving. Hope you enjoy the picts.

They have a category for items made of wood. Theres a carver thats 88 yrs old,he makes alot of items out of wood,he turns really nice bowls,he didnt make the tractor someone else did but Im sure with the older gentlemans help. The carrousel/horse think its a ladys that is carving it,she brought it to just show us.

The older gentleman,he can carve anything also,one heck of a nice fellow.I won one of his bowls last year in the drawings. I wouldnt take anything for it.

In the Professional Division,which I had to carve in by wining best of Open last year there,I know one thing it was tough. But here goes.

Picts from Miscellaneous, Reliefs carvings was kinda mixed in with the Miscellaneous area. They didnt know I was going to bring so many,lol My natural mtn home place/cabin carved from hard butt hemlock[over 30 inches long},I thought it would have done better but I'll take a 3rd any day,won good with my Big Rock and others.
