Default 10 Faced Spirit Bark

Carved while camping last week sitting in the shade drinking coffee just relaxing with some wood and carving tools. Cottonwood bark 29" long, spray satin finish.

Was hard to get all faces in focus in the master picture, so I also included some close ups going from top to bottom in thirds.

Last two faces on bottom I didn't have much wood to work with, at best only 1" thick at the bottom end. Hope you enjoy and have fun carving, Coffeeman

Eyes.....I carve my eye, then carve out the pupil with a gouge, then, Like Colin, I paint it black and set in the white dot with the end tip of my paint brush handle or a toothpick on smaller eyes. On the last bottom face, i carved out the pupil 100%, no paint.

Beautifully done Coffeeman! Each has its own character, expression and mood. What a great idea, nicely carved. That would be a real conversation piece in any house!
