Default Woodspirit/Wizard?

Can anyone direct me to a good tutorial on carving a woodspirit or wizard face? I've seen this step by step before.

Jon,
Tom Wolfe has an excellent book that takes you through the process step-by-step. Filled w/ many pictures and easy instructions.

Jon,
WCI Issue 32 (summer 2005) has Shawn Cipa showing you how to carve a wizard face in a walking stick.

Shawn also contributed a wood spirit how to in Lora Irish's Woodspirits and Greenmen book

Skylar Johnson also has a great book out on carving woodspirits.

In the Spring Issue of WCI, Colin Partridge shows how to carve a wood spirit in a tree...

The list keeps growing <grin>

The books that BobD recommended are great but here's a url to get you started until you can get a book. Go to "Projects". http://www.tusedesigns.com/woodcarving/bio.htm

Mikeg's is a good one. Here's another, for a slightly different perspective: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/ww_dec...427850,00.html

My favorite is also the one that mikeg has already mentioned. Here's another one that's worth a look:
