Default Troupe of three acrobats / Father-and-sons talent show

This is the finished version of a WIP I posted earlier this week.

It is made from 1x2x12" basswood. Scrollsaw to remove inner pieces.

The carving was all done with knives.

I started with a rough idea to join two figures, and worked out the details as I went along.

This is my first real go at posing figures, and carving hand and feet.

I have provisionally captioned it "The annual father-and-sons talent show had become a little competitive that year".

They are looking at their rivals alongside them, which I plan to carve next.

Pete

Pete,

I'm usually pretty "caricature-averse" but I must say that in both design and execution this is an outstanding piece!

Thumbs up Re: Troupe of three acrobats / Father-and-sons talent show

Pete .. what a novice idea .. The piece is wonderful ..

It really reminds you of those old circus carvings of long ago ..

you did a great job of carving and the idea is so original .

you did great Pete ..
