Default Stick{match}Paw

Carved another old paw today, hes got buck teeth and holding a chicken. Enough matches for now!

Thought Id see how far I could carve into a match before it breaks. The reason for the holes in the front of him. Hes carved from a 1 1/2 inch match, hes now 1 1/8 X 1/16 of a inch. Just something fun to try.

Your thoughts or comments are welcome.

Forrest

Very nice Forrest, but not small enough, hehe. You're really pushing the limits of small lately! Sounds like fun!

Jim the only reason I carve silly things like this it helps me when Im carving bigger things that have smaller items in them. Just kinda practice work. But Im glad you like this Paw,I wont carve holes in any more matches now,had to see if it would break, the 1st hole so I went on carving on him.

Thanks again Jim!!

Forrest, you are going to have to get yourself one of them there electron microscopes if you keep this up, Maybe you can do my last bear for Goldilocks, it would be about the right size.

Keep up the good work, Tom

Omg, that's incredible, Forrest. You wanted to put a hole in him just to see if he'd break????? LOLOL After all that tedious work, and that magnificent job you did on the face/ nose all by itself,...nevermind the rest of him.... I'd hang myself in the closet with the nearest rope if it broke!! Wonderful job, my friend! Bonnie

Forrest, you've got to make one the other way around! Use the business end of the matchstick to be a bishop's hat or a motorcycle helmet or something. Maybe it could be an astronaut in a red helmet.

Or here's an idea... Carve the wood down to a little curvy, skinny fuse and the red end could be a bomb. It would probably even work!

You could even make a scene with the bomb and your matchstick train. But you'd need to make some itty-bitty train robbers to make it complete.

LOL, you've really turned the phrase "the sky's the limit" on its ear. More like "the atom's the limit" for you!

Tom E. Using scopes or high speed engraving tools just isnt my thing. Shoot with how neat your bears are, carve you some smaller ones also.

Thanks Tom for your nice input here.
