Default The sleepy hunter

This fella must have hunted to hard this morning and now he's tired. The sun is warm and this spot is comfy. He's taking a little shut-eye at the wrong time though, the buck is quietly walking by.

Hi Joe,
Great job....Love everything about this carving scene!
Looks like this hunter could have stayed up too late lastnight catching up with some ol' huntin' buddies.

I know how it is, I've been there. Back at camp his buddies will ask him if he saw that 4-point going his way, and he will say "gosh no, he must have snuck by me".

Excellent carving, Joe. I'm sure that has happened to many a hunter over the years. Great job all around, thanks for sharing.

Joe,
That is sweet. I saw this happen to a guy once while hunting with my brother. The only difference was that it was a doe and it wasn't walking buy. The doe was sniffing the hunter, who woke up. The hunter and doe both startled at the same time and jumped, the doe ran off. My brother and I watched this from a ridge several yards away through our binoculars. We laughed until we cried. True story. Thanks for jogging that memory up.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark
