Default simple gnome pattern??

any one know where i might be able to obtain a simple gnome pattern. i bought tom wolfes book "carving gnomes" and really didnt like the one he carved step by step. think its just a bit out of my ability. any help is greatly appreciated

You might enjoy seeing the "bonus article" on carving a gnome right here on this web site. It's in the left column under "bonus articles".
It's pretty detailed and I believe would be a good beginner level carving.

I don't think they allow pictures of the "simple" gnomes....they can't help it!

I think a book called THE GNOMES BOOK OF CHRISTMAS CRAFTS by Carol Endler Sterbenz is a book you would enjoy, I certainly have mine. I found mine at a used book store, since then , I've noticed another at same store. I have made several welcome signs for my family from a pattern in it. My records not good for posting pictures, but I'll try again. You might try your local library, perhaps if they have it, you could see if it would benifit you. Thanks, Earl
