Default Simple Carvings Completed

It took a while for me to paint these because I don't paint. Many mistakes were made and corrected. Ten of these became key chains to give to family at our family reunion. The Ghost will be used as a sample in my attempt to teach my grandkids the basics of wood and carving. The large Pirate will become part of a larger display with some bones (wife's idea and sounded good to me). Most of this is acrylic. The brown are BriWax. The silver helmet is Rustoleum Chrome spray (painted on). All have two coats of thin shellac followed by steel wool.

Hi Joggernot,

the carving are real nice, but the paint is great for a beginner.

A nice display of carvings the Indian in the second picture has the same expression my kids had when they sampled my attempt at cooking. Hope those forest fires down your way didn't affect you.
