| | Re: Show us your Carving station area, I work in my single car garage, great in winter , hell in summer, three fans all blowing hot air. I build mainly dollhouses and whirly gigs, air powered vanes that do cute things. I use basically bench top tools, so the can be stored when not in use.

| | Re: Show us your Carving station area, I have a 8'x8' part of the glassed in back porch and added duct work so can have some heat in winter and cool in summer. Have a 2 door,3 sheve cabinet on my left and a 24" x 5 ' table in front. Added a a stand for the Dremel and made a couple of little stands to prop my carving tool boxes on them. Most of my tools are either in boxes made to hold my tools or Flexcut boxes, and a bucket my son got me that holds a canvas liner and gouges and Misc. tools are in. And The little bride doesn't like for the chips to be tracked in to the house so vaccum most every time. Want her storage part on the other side but me thinks I lost that battle. |

| | Re: Show us your Carving station area, Well sounds like the person that invents the first space strecher will make a killing on all of us, ...
With the limited space some of us have its almost impossible to have a shopvac for our little areas, i hear they make a 1 gallon shop vac but i havent seen one yet.
just wondering if anybody has a solution keeping the wife happy without always keeping her house vaccume packed full of chips, ? |

| | Re: Show us your Carving station area, I solved the problem a couple years ago. No vacuum needed. Ripped up all the carpet and put down pergo flooring. Big job 'cause when they built the house, the builders carpeted right over all the spilled dry wall mud so had to scarpe all that up before I could put the flooring down. But, now I can carve anywhere I please as long as there's a broom and duspan handy. The chips sweep right up with no problem. |
