Cliff it struck me that its it's great how us oldies can get so much fun out of a bit of wood and a knife.
I live near St.Andrews and have seen this golfer on the Royal and Ancient Course.

cliff,
you have done it, great looking guy, makes me wish lived closer so i could watch, kind of like watching gene, really i meant what i said in the posting , watching you take off with your carving is priceless, but then i am an old rookie,at first i thought i might try what you try, but to each his own, but you have inspired me to try other things, and with the help avail here, that's not all bad, i will try and show you ,when i get it finished ,how it works out
keep on trucking.

WOW, Jim,Aulddiy,.Sam,Mark and Blake, thank you all so much for the kind words. You know, I look at this carving and I really can't believe that I did it. It certainly would never have been possible without the FREE tutorials from Gene Messer, as mentioned on another thread, for what he has given I really do think he should be named carver of the year.
