| | Semper Fi I thought it would be fun to do a carving for each branch of the Military. So, where to start? Drop the names in a hat and draw out for each carving. For starters, The Marines. This little man is standing at attention, hands clinched, with a stogie clinched between his teeth. This is my first attempt at carving a black fellow.

Cliff | Thank you!
He is 3 1/2 inches tall. He may be made of wood but his spirit is all spring steel and rawhide. hahahaha |

| | Re: Semper Fi Nice job on the Marine! I also like it when I'm carving sets of things based on a central theme. Look forward to the others and thank's for posting. |

| | Re: Semper Fi Great job, I'm torn between Navy & Marines, since I was a "Grunt" first, then the Navy grabbed me at a higher rank. My son just made 1st Sgt. and wants me to carve him "Marine" for his desk, your idea gives me a great idea for him. I want to carve it before he ships out to Iraq for the 3rd time.
