I am very excited to have found a doll maker on this forum today! I have been searching and searching! I am wondering if there are any more? I carve spoons and hair combs, but my absolute passion is making jointed wooden dolls. I would love to meet anybody else who felt the same! Heres hoping!

Keoma, You can go to the Hittygirls Yahoo group and check out there links, lots of small doll makers and collectors there. My daughter is big into the small Hitty dolls. If you cannot get into the links let me know I'll send some. Or you can just join that group. It's very active. Here's the address: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hittygirls/ Tom H |

I helped produce a couple but they grew up to produce 4 of the prettiest dolls. Hmmmm, Ok, I will go back into my own little world. They don't like me there either. LOL

We have a few doll carvers here - and they have posted pictures too in the past. As Tom mentioned, most are drawn to the "Hitty" style. Here's a link to a site search (internal to WCI) on "hitty" that also references other doll styles: Woodcarving Illustrated Message Board - Search Results |
