Sea Captain Pattern

Anyone know where I can find a pattern for a Sea Captain? I would like to carve one for my In-law's house in Florida, but I'm having trouble finding a good pattern.

the book mitch suggested is a good one, there are also some roughouts for the sea captain also or he is also easily done from a blank.

That's great! I'm going to check into getting the book. I have a while to work on it so it is just in the planning phase. I've ordered some more wood from Hineke so I will probably get started once it comes in.

One of Mike Shipley's books has a good Sea Captain pattern in it. Fox Chapel Publications would have the book. Good Luck......

I have a pattern you are more than welcome too that I got when I bought with a set of Xacto carving blades and handles..along time ago..pattern shows 3sides front,back,left.. email is available on request
