Default It's a girl

Thanks for all the responses re; my post - a lost art. She finally arrived - my 2nd Great Grandaughter ( life is good) If any of you caricature carvers ever get a chance to take a lesson with Floyd Ratigan, I would highly reccomend doing so. Being a teacher myself I was very much impressed with his presentation. We have booked him for a weekend at our carving club. He has a web site; www.fantasycarving.com - Big Al

Congratulations Big Al.

As far as Floyd - I really admire his work. His entry in the single animal group for this past CCA event at Dollywood was my favorite of all the pieces there. It was a cat with a guitar. EXCELLENT piece in originality and in craftsmanship.

...congratulations!! Have to say I like Ratigan's work myself and would agree with Mitchell that it was my favorite of the CCA entries this year (at least the ones I saw...)
