Dave, I am still here. I have let fishing get in the way of my carving lately. but it is hot enough now I will put fishing aside and try to catch up on some carving. Here is A project I am working on now. It is at the stage now where any coments or suggestions will be welcome.

OH, my God, Arnold....that's terrific!!!! I have missed your postings, too. I can't wait to see that whole thing finished!! Are you going to paint them? Love what you did with the water. What a great scene, and as usual, the carvings look superior....Bonnie

To hot to fish? Nah, well maybe just a bit.
Great Subject. Sure will appeal to a lot of folks. Me for one.

I just got a new fly rod and haven't had a chance to get it in the water yet.

You guys kill me. Someone is worried about Arnold because they haven't seen him post anything lately, only to find out that he has just been fishing too much to do any carving. He shows a picture of something he's been carving, aparently when he can squeeze in enough time or when the fish aren't biting, but the carving is still emaculate and I'm thinking it would take me years to complete. I just saw a post from Cliff where he's holding a huge fish and still doesn't look too excited over it because as he says, that's what they do all summer long. I've heard about the ones that are taking off to their summer homes and only being able to pack just few tools to still be able to carve with. All of my few tools would fit in the glove box of their motorhomes.
Here I am trying to get the yard cut and finish up the chores around the house and hopefully get to look over a carving I'm working on to see what I will need to do the next time I get to do any carving and then get ready for work.
Geeeeezzz, don't you people have jobs?
I'm only kidding, I know most of you have put in your time and it is an inspiration to see you enjoying retirement. So remember when your plate was full like mine and DO keep on enjoying yourselves.

I like the scene you're working on Arnold, can't wait to see it finished.
