I don't know Thomas, The Goat looks about right. Head is just about ready to drop just before he strikes a blow.
Well done my friend and gave me a needed chuckle. I can just picture the rest of the scene in my head.

Glad you feel like carving.

wow and gee whizz... dont know if my hats gonna fit, i can feel my head swelling as i write this..
thanks for the nice comments and suggestions,

joy,
i was thinking chickens too,.. but have never cane up with a way to carve decent legs, they would be the size of a peanut m&m or less, thus tough to hang on to...?

btree,
i had thought of him getting his jug or tending a still..?

doug,
i know the head is mis shapen and needs to be narrowed at the eyes, .. i may just cut it off and carve one in a lower bend to the neck so it looks like its in start of ramming the old dude

thanks for comments merle, kenny & sam,

i may try another goat in full charge, and keep the one thats done for support item,

thanks for viewing, suggestions and the motivation folks!

What the hillbilly is reaching for will determine the "message" of the scene. If you want a sobriety message, he gets it in the rear for that jug of moonshine suggested earlier. If you want a "no good deed goes unpunished" scene, he is doing something good -maybe picking up some trash or as also suggested, picking a flower for his wife. If you want a "this poor guy can't ever catch a break" theme, maybe he is reaching over to pick up a $20 bill or something.

The scene has great potential for humor in a number of ways. You just need to decide which way you want to go with it. I have no doubts it will be great whatever you decide.
