I've been in awe at Lynn's painting of the flour logos, and now I see you've mastered it also.Any suggestions on how you do it? Kent |

Thanks so much Kent. The lettering here was my first go at it so I am no master at it for sure. It took me about the entire Saturday to do the lettering. I first printed off the logo to the exact size that I wanted. Then I ask myself, how do I transfer this to the carving? I taped the printed logo to a piece of plywood, and under a magnifier, I cut out the letters using a sharp pointed knife (hobby knife). This gave me a template to then hold tight to the carving and tranfer the letters using a sharp pencil. Then with a tiny brush, I painted in the letters. I first did the Red "BEST", then worked my way outward, The 4 x's was next, then the little mark details, then Pillsbury and Flour were last. I was afraid to use transfer paper as I thought it would make a big mess. I'm sure there are better ways of doing it, but that is how I went about it. The dot pattern was done using a toothpick. I think when you are done with it, you will be so happy that you gave it a shot. Good luck Kent.....Myron

I dont no if this will work, but here it is print out what u want on the carving. cut as much paper away as possible then use a poly urethane on the carving where u want the copy after it is in place poly over the paper Im thinking the paper look will disappear with a little tweaking I think it can be done
