Default Pete has left NC

Pete LeClair stopped in NC to teach at the Tar Heel Woodcarvers club this past weekend. As seen from Mark A's SC thread, the caricature project was Dominic Sam. This was Pete's first teaching gig in NC and I am sure he will remember... We all had a great time. Pete is so thorough that all carvers left with a new confidence in carving faces. His teaching method is second to none. Many left the building saying that they have taken many classes before but this was the best. Group picture and my completed piece.

Jimmy B. Nice job on your carving and by all others in your class. I was wondering if you had to do that particular carving for Pete LeClairs class or did you get to choose from other projects? I was looking to take a class with him but seem to like his other carvings better as in his book "Carving a Caricature Bust"?

Makenchips,
Thanks for the kind words.
Far as I know he choses a particular "style" and goes with that for a period of time. I know he had taught the same carving a week earlier in SC. I've only taken (2) classes and both involved the entire class carving the same item.
Sure is a joy to learn his techniques.
