Default "Ouch"

Even though our carving club down here disbanded six months ago .. We still all try to keep in contact for get gather's or donating for charities .

Recently I received a basswood block 1 3/4 x 13/4 x 8 inches high and was ask by our president to carve a figure for a local girls and boy's haven benefit to be auctioned off ...

At first I wanted to cut the piece up and carve several little guys with it .. but that wasnt the rules ...

So here's my full piece out of the block .. It's simply called " Ouch"

The hammer was carved separately and installed in the hand ..

It is carved in the flat plane style with only a knife and a v -tool and was a fun project .. but I still like the little guy's ...

Hope you enjoy ... Sorry about the darkness on the pictures .. Ia'm having a little trouble with my camera ..

Gene

He's great, Gene! The painful expression on his face is just perfect! You work wonders with that knife and V-tool. I hope it does really well when it is auctioned off for the boy's and girl's haven. Again, good job!! ~ Joy

Hi Gene
You have done a first class job on that guy.I like the teeth and i've been trying to figure out how to cut the guys showing the teeth.I'm sure that it will do good in the auction and it is for a good cause that the best part.GREAT JOB.
