Default one a day

I am going to try and complete a carving a day for 7 days . . . paint withstanding. Some will be more challenging than others as time allows.

Currently, I am on day three. We will see how things go from a stamina point of view.

Joe, your three a day carvings are just great! My favorite one is the shoes, super work.

You know, it is wierd but I can lay out 10 things that I have done on the table, figures, ornaments, spools, animals . . . and the very first thing someone will pick up is the little pair of shoes.

Joe, regarding the shoes, I think it's because folks aren't expecting to see carved shoes. Especially shoes that are so well done as yours. They really are cute!

This is a great idea - a carving marathon! I find that since I identify my carving with rest and relaxation it always gets pushed to the back of my list while I finish my other woodworking. I have several carving projects that I want to get done and this seems a great goal, a carving a day. I'm going to get them lined up and take a little "carvacation"!

Thanks for the inspiration! The carvings look great!

Well you're off to a great start there Joe.
I think I am going to try this idea too . . . only I have to modify it a little to meet my particular life and situation. heh heh

So I am hereby begining my one-a-month marathon! ;-) Yep!

Up till now I've only managed to carve one a year so that's a 12 fold increase for me. ly - I'm actually NOT joking.

But that's what happens when you work full time, commute 4 hours a day, and have 4 teens and a wife with a honey do list. That's ok though. Not complaining. Someday, the kids will be gone and I'll have all the time in the world to carve. And I'm sure I'll be missing them when that time comes.

Great idea there Jim. Whatca' gonna carve today? A flag pin? An Uncle Sam? A bottle rocket? Can't wait to see it. Keep the chips flying.

Those are nice ones for sure. I too like the shoes, not that the other two aren't good. They are!!!!!! I have carved boots and shoes when I started carving and enjoyed them.

Thank for letting us view your one a day carvings.
