DAY 7!!!!!

Hummingbird

You cannot see it in the picture but I undercut the front wings feathers so there are a layer of elevated feathers over the main wing's feathers. Does that make sense? hahahaha.

Now I have to paint all these. That is not my favorite thing to do but it is what makes the carvings come together in the end.

Thanks for putting up with my week of flinging woodchips!

Joe

Nice job on the humming bird. A lot of detail there. Looking forward to the painted pieces.

Your carvings are great! I really like them.Nice work.
They show a confidence of skill, with clear, clean cuts.

You gotta get your photos in focus though! ;-)

I may just have to have a "Lonesome Dove" Marathon tonight since you brought it up. I absolutely LOVE that miniseries.

This camera has always given me fits. There is no focus. I am either to close or to far away. I have to be perfectly still. NO SHAKING...NO BREATHING...Did I flinch when I pressed the button? AAARRGGGHHHhhhhh.....

It is at least 6 years old. I reckon it was obsolete 5 years back.
