Default ol sam

Coming back from catfishing in Ga . I caught a RINGLING BROS AND BARNUM BAILEY circus train and met sam. An ol Hobo from days gone bye. He said he likes the steady pay. But the kids are getting on his last nerve. Sam is 9.5" tall and is carved from Eastern White Pine.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Hobo,
You have really been cranking out some excellent work! Sam looks great! I like your style because you can see all the facets. Looks to me like ya don't sand much ;O). I don't sand anything as I feel like if I went to the work of putting those cuts there, I want to be able to see them. Anyway, keep up the great work.

Thumbs up Re: ol sam

Hobo .. your style of carving is one of my favorites .. I dont exactually know what to call it .. but it's a rough finish that is so unique ..

It adds so much to the character itself and I would love to one day see one in person ..

you are mastering that style down pat Hobo ..

Great job ..

Gene
