Great! Each carving seems to be better than the one before it..........the "Foreclosure" has to be rated "10".

Jax.

Phenomenal, Lynn....I just can't believe you turn them out as quickly as you do, especially offering that kind of quality work!! You carved it at a carver's gabfest?? I just have to sit here and shake my head. Unbelievable. Beautiful work. Bonnie

Thanks for all the comments. Teddy Roosevelt....now there would be a neat caricature!

I've created a Blog post and added a lot of different angles of this piece for those of you who might want to use it as a guide to do your own.

One question/comment; Why always the same feather (you've got that particular feather down pat)...would love to see this guy with a turkey feather...

Rocket 39.....Well, if you had your choice of which type of feather to put in your hat which would you choose? Eagle or Turkey? Remember now, this is back in the 1800's before the EPA showed up on the scene.

Turkey feathers are okay, I used one on Magua not long ago. Even through in a couple of BlueJay plumes!

Lynn,
I'd have to go with Turkey as they were more revered, even old Ben Franklin wanted to make them the national bird as Bald Eagles were thought of as scavenger birds...

...but hey that'd be my choice.

I'll have to check out Magua again as I didn't recall the different feather. Blue Jay feathers were another choice or even grouse...all pretty fascinating.
