i got tired of carving cowboys and indians so took a break and carved this old golfer. trying to get better at making the eyes old looking ( love old people .......my wife is one..... and i is one.) still having trouble with my camera, white balance, colors not quite right right in picture, look alright in person.... this is my 147th carving.

If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.

That is a nice carving. It looks like you have that "Old Eyes" down pretty good. Nice work.

While it's hard for me to understand how someone could ever get tired of carving Cowboys & Indians I will say you did a great job on that golfer.

Hey Jim,
That old coot looks great ;O)). I think the eyes look fine. In fact the entire carving looks excellent from the finishing to the carving. On really old folks I will slant the eyes even further from inside corner to outside corner and add some wrinkles, especially in the upper eyelids and bags inder eyes.
