I'm gonna keep carvin these till I get it right, still a little rough around the edges. Appreciate all input.

Your going to have quite a collection when your done Cliff. What's the core made of in a golf ball anyway? I thought it was a sort of spongy material which would make it difficult to detail.

Patrick, thanks for takin a look. A golf ball is some kinda indian rubber, quite hard but does hold detail well, it's a lotta fun to carve. Not quite as nice as yer lady tho.

Cliff .. your doing very good on those fellows .. Golf balls are not as easy to carve as you think . you have limited space and it's difficult to get detail in such a small piece .. but you have done a fine job of it ..

If you want a suggestion on your faces .. here's a tip .. on your cheeks and mouth from the nose down .. next time use deeper cuts into the face to give more character on him .. just try it with practice and see if you may not like it better ...

Thanks to all that responded and yes Gene, point well taken, I'm busy right now with yer hillbilly so I have to finish it before I do another ball.
