| | Re: new caricature busts Nice work, Bart! You either carve way, way, faster than me, or you don't sleep (I think it's probably faster carving)

Great job on all of them, I have to go w/ Mike on this one though, #3 is the complete package, again great job!
(...ya gotta love Marv's book just for defining the different face shapes, besides its the only book I know that comes equiped with instructions on how to "Pick yer Nose" ) BTW...Bart who were your influences?? It appears like there is some Bishop/LeClair/Kaiseratt influences, anyone else?

| | Re: new caricature busts hello folks,
thanks to you all for the nice compliments,# 3 is my favorite also it was the last one i carved and i like it the best.they were all carved using marv's blank but were carved different.
tony,
the leclair/bishops/marv are all three of my favorites in this order, the first one was carved with just marv's instruction,# 2 and # 3 was carved using what i learned from marv's book along with what i have learned from pete and the bishops, this is why i like #2 and # 3 the best. so yes all three of those influence my carving but i think pete's style influences me the most.i have all 3 of his books and have about worn them out.
thanks again folks
