| | Re: "Never let 'em know your're affraid" The detail was something I never thought much about until spending some time with the woodburner. I like what it can do for a piece.
I like a bit of action in my carvings... it keeps me thinking about how one part of the carving can fit with another part and look natural but stil be a caricature. Just beginning to think of the next carving now.
Thanks |

Andy | Hard question really. I did my first carving as a kid at around 10 years old. Only remember doing one carving. Didn't do any more carving until about 1985 then I did 3 or 4 pieces. About 18 months ago I seen retirement coming upon me and thought I had better quit looking around for something to do and land on something. Carving fit all the requirements. So for the past year or so I have been carving what I consider consistently and seriously. That is I try to do complete pieces and carve at least every other day, or evening. Sometimes just for a few minutes sometimes for the evening. I am also lucky enough to have a job where I can carve sometimes during the day.
Thanks for your comments.
