Default Need MAILMAN caricature pattern

Does anyone know where I can find a MAILMAN caricature pattern. If not I guess I'll try to modify some Uncle Sam patterns. Thanks fo any replies.

I don't have any patterns for that, but assuming you are a postal employee, put on your uniform, stand by your vehicle, or put on your mail bag, and have a friend take a few photos of you in the pose you'd like the carving to have. Use the photos for a pattern. The best part of the photos is you can easily see the proportions, and all the wrinkles/folds in the clothing. Easy to change the proportions such as larger feet, larger hands, etc., but still have the correct body proportions.

Or wait for your carrier to deliver tomorrow's mail, then snap a few quick photos. Trace the outlines, fiddle with a facial expression (or add a dog doing something nasty) and there ya go.

Found this LINK Maybe it will help.

Here are a couple of photos of Mailman carvings--scroll down past the eagles--about 1/3 the way down. Maybe the guy can help you with a pattern.

Mail Walker, just do a google image search, lots of images that can be used as patterns.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. Just got some basswood today, anxious to get started. This will be my first real effort at carving something other than boots and such.

I recall a cover from an old Saturday Evening that had a mailman sorting letters with a smile on his face. I always thought it would make a good carving, but I haven't had a chance to try it. You might try a google image search for Saturday Evening and see what you get.
