Default NC Trooper

My son graduated from the North Carolina Highway Patrol Academy on June 21. On June 29, I had a class scheduled with Phil and Vicki Bishop, and while researching their roughouts to decide ahead of time on what I wanted to carve while in class, I ran across Cooper. That had to be my project! I gathered up some photos that had been taken at graduation and headed for class. I asked Vicki if we could transform Cooper into a NC Trooper and of course she said yes. I did not want to do a realistic carving, but with Vicki and Phil's help we tried to capture some of my son's features. Vicki done all of the burning, as I don't have a burner and didn't feel like this was a good time to practice using one. My son was elated with the carving. Like I've said before, Phil and Vicki are the greatest. If you have the chance, take a class from them. Thanks again!!!

Excellent job Bob .. The detail is wonderful and the facial and body features are very good ...

The burning detail is a great add to the piece .. and the carving and painting are a 10.0 for sure ..

Great job ..
