Default My 1st Santa for 2012.

12"x7"x2", Basswood, Acrylic Paint Watco Dark Wax, and Feed-n-wax. Took it from a Figurine the Daughter got us about 6 yrs ago. It inspired me so I gave it a shot. He doesn't look like the original, but for me they never do, which is OK. Merle

Hi Merle,
What a nice start to the season. He has a wonderful expression. It looks as though he's very glad that Christmas is still over 300 days away and maybe he can get some rest.....

Good carving. You may want to have a different color between the lips and the tongue.
