Default Muscadine Jim

Jim stands in at 12.5 inches carved from basswood. painted with acrylics and finished.

Great carving! I really like the expression and the detail in the face and the wrinkles in the shirt. Great job selecting colors.

Hobo .. Your cutting patterns are wonderful .... Its sort of like character of cuts you do ..

I really like this style .. it's different and much like a modern form of gouge carving .

Are your cuts with a knife or gouge ?

Really very very creative and wonderful to look at ..

I love the deep cuts in the clothes and skin. They cast great shadows on the piece and really give it character. Very well done.
