Default Mtn Man Bart

After the mill closed ,me and side car mitch, went looking for work in south GA, we had nothing to eat for two days. But as luck would have it we saw a man checking his trap line and asked him for one of those rabbits he had. He said sure thing as long as i can join you so we fixed it up and talked for a while. Thats the last time we saw him. Funny how an old memory hangs around. so i made a walking stick in remeberance of him.

HOBO, without question, that is the finest lookin walkin stick I've ever seen, man oh man, it's beautiful. I'm a would be walkin stick carver, but haven't got off the ground yet. I've tried a few spirits but they just don't satisfy me so I scrap them. I've wood burned a few as gifts and they are fine. One day I hope to be able to post something half as good as yours, then I'll be happy. Great work, thanks for showing.

Terrific carving and wonderful story of man helping man out in hard times. Any idea what kind of wood you used?

I really like that face Hobo- it has great character. Very good detail on such a small piece of wood. This pic will be going in my reference library so don't be surprised if you see something similar in another post. If it looks too much like yours...which I doubt...I'll give you full credit of course Thanks for letting us see your work.
