| | Mountie Updated Here is a picture of the repainted uniform for the mountie. Looks like the Mountain Man could squash him like a bug. |

| | Re: Mountie Updated Quite a size difference! I had no idea until I saw both carvings together and the person sitting in the back ground. That's alot of wood to remove. Great carvings.

| | Re: Mountie Updated Good job Ron that is just about right for the mounties pants. I also didnt realize until I saw them together that diversity in size. Both outstanding carvings cant wait to see what you are up to next. Colin |

NICE CARVINGS!
Now I have a question for you, and for anyone else who wants to horn in:
What's better/easier: large carvings like the Mountain Man or medium size carvings like the Mountie?
I ask because I am trying to decide what size caricature carvings I want to concentrate on. I just finished a small one--as soon as I paint it, I will post pics.
Thanks, and keep up the great work. It's a great incentive when I see other people's work. I just wish I had more time to devote to actually carving wood. |

| | Re: Mountie Updated The larger the carving the better for me. Since I do most all of mine by touch anymore the easier it is to feel what I am doing. The things that take the most time for me is the detail around the eyes and other features it's kind of complicated to explain. But the larger the better. |

| | Re: Mountie Updated Ron, I swear that Mountie has gained more weight around the middle again! He must be getting into your donuts at night when you're sleeping! Maybe the mountain man will keep an eye on him for you! Great job. Bob |

| | Re: Mountie Updated I got you Ron. My eyesight isn't too bad, but as the years go by, it gets harder to see detail. So, I am looking at going bigger so I can see the detail better as I am carving. But I don't want to go too big. I'll run out of room to keep the carvings!
