Default Mountain Guide or Forrester?

This character is based on Gene's miniature Santa pattern crossed with a hillbilly, with a different hat shape, and with the hands at the front holding a walking stick. It is 3" high.

I made it without much planning (check out the right arm!), and decided to paint him green because it was different to red.

He looks a little like a forrester out of a fairy tale (maybe turn the stick into an axe?), or maybe a Tyrolean mountain guide, or a dressed-down lephrecaun.

Pete... Excellent work! My vote is the dressed-down lephrecaun!

Call him whatever ya want, he looks good no matter who or what he is. Great little carving, we are so lucky to have Gene among us, he's a great inspiration to all of us new carvers.
