| | "moose Junction" Well folks, I've been working on this off and on since Feb......life gets in the way of my carving, and I'm terribly slow to begin with! Here's my latest project.. My scene is different, but I got the idea from a cartoon picture on a t-shirt. The male moose is approx. 7" tall, without the antlers. I have an old camera, so my apologies for the pictures. The male moose is holding a bunch of "flowers" that were splotch-painted from a carved twig flower. She is looking at the flowers and he's looking at her like he just "scored"....both are totally ignoring the racoon who is pointing up at the jaybird (1-1/2") sitting on his antler. I put fake eyelashes on the female. All comments and criticisms welcome. I learn from that! Bonnie |

| | Re: "moose Junction" Bonnie .. How absolutely fantastic .. What a wonderful carving scene ..
The carving itself is excellent and the cartoonish look on the moose are priceless ..
Everything about it makes you want to take it home and show it off ..
The idea is hilarious and the way you carved it shows a great eye for caricature work ..
You just want to look for all the great detail in it ..
Bonnie .. you have out did yourself on this scene .. you can definately see you spent the time on it and it shows ..
Fantastic piece of carving and painting both ..
10.00 plus ..
Gene

| | Re: "moose Junction" I agree with Gene, great caricature animal scene. I think you really captured what you were trying to do. I am painfully slow myself Bonnie, but that's ok. Nice job and thanks for posting it!

| | Re: "moose Junction" AWwwwww My goodness Bonnie! How impressive plus totally so cute the Moose are and the other items in this whole scene!! You can see this male moose and hes really into courting the female thats behind the fence, you can feel how excited he is plus she is batting her eyes at him.
The little racoon is trying to tell the male moose but theres a jaybird in your antlers but the young male is trying to win his sweetheart over with the flowers. And he cant see nothing but Luvvvvvv~
Its such a cute "original" carving and well planned on your behalf Bonnie plus you did a great job on the painting and its finish. Looks also like?? It will take a blue ribbon this coming year in Hickory as your Blues Man did this past year.
Excellent work my friend, Forrest
