Default Monty the Missouri Mule...

I started this one on the 4th. I worked on him all week and finished the carving this morning. I am pretty happy with it. I carved the hooves to small but will know better the next time I do a horse type carving. Carved from a Harold Enlow pattern. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Here Monty is all painted up. Painted with oil paints and finished with semi gloss lacquer. Now onto surgery on that hound dog! Thanks for looking,

Corey

Really a nice job Corey. I'm sure Harold Enlow would be proud. It couldn't be any better......Myron

Thanks Myron for the kind words. Harold's projects are great, this one has taking me longer than any other I have done due to the size.

Gene, thanks much. It was a fun project. I know by the time I am ready to finish a carving I am looking forward to the painting. When I am done with the painting I am looking forward to the next one. I guess that means I have the bug! Thanks again,

Corey

Hey Corey, what a neat little guy, man, you sure are knocking them out there buddy, you've come a long way in a short time. Thanks for helping me with the sharpener, both you and Gene got me going, once I got the belt tightened as per you instrucions, it's working fine. Problem here is getting a chance to carve, dang kids are here camping in the side lot so I'm doing a whole lot of fishin, not that there's anything wrong with that.
