Default Lynns great, but you gotta blaze your own trails too, here's my next project........

The Spanish freedom fighter of early California, the master swordman Walt Disney made famous. How I loved his adventures, and the hilarious Sergeant Garcia.
Followed years later by Antonio Banderas, (not to mention the beautiful Kathryn Zeta Jones).
Yes, the famous dark clad ZORRO!!!!
Now how the heck do I carve a flowing cape??

This is gonna take some doing.

I don't know about carving a cape, but for authenticity, I think you should carve the whole thing with a sword?
Nice job on the face, should be a nice piece

You are right JDJim.

I think it is time for another of Lynn's contests. Only this time give the project without showing Lynn's version and see what everyone comes up with. Maybe the winner could go spend a week with Lynn!!!

Jim, he's fantastic!!! As for your question about how to carve the cape, I would suggest using either a knife or maybe some gouges .

You've just started your own genre within the carving community
