After Gabby was finished, Lynn posted what to do next? I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas for him to consider. 1. Keeping in tune with the cast of cowboy characters - Andy Devine, Gary Cooper, Clint Eastwood in the spaghetti westerns, Will Rogers, one of the cast from the Wild Bunch (those faces lend themselves well to caricature) 2. Since the western theme is a favorite, how about George Armstrong Custer? This is something slightly different since he is a military figure too. 3. Still staying with the west, how about a dance hall girl? 4. How about a fancy dude cardshark? 5. Something totally different - hobo or a 1920's gangster 6. It is that time of year for a witch to go flying by. 7. At some point it would be interesting to see how Lynn does the Indian hide painting. Ok, scratch your head and offer up some ideas. |

How about a character from a John Wayne western movie? Maybe Rooster Cogburn. Lynn says John is one of his favorites, mine too!

And I'm still looking forward to meeting the remaining, as of yet unseen, townsfolk. We met the Mayor and his young wife, and the undertaker, but I suspect there is full cast of townsfolk waiting to come out of his studio. Whomever he chooses to carve next will be a welcome addition to my growing list of favorite pieces. LMiller |

I personally would like to see how he does those water scenes. Like the pond in the piece titled "No Swimming".

I would like to see him carve a horse and trappings for it, or a Buffalo Larry |

Check the photo segments at Lynn's site around 5-09 for a 6 part series showing step by step for carving a horse. I also wondered about Jack Elam. In Once Upon A Time In the West, his scenes with the fly at the RR station waiting for Charles Bronson to appear are classic. Tony |

How about Cheyenne, Sugerfoot, Maverick, Rifleman or better yet Paladin (Have Gun Will travel). Jeremiah Johnson, Kit Carson, Lewis & Clark, love the old Mountain Men!!
