Default Little Cloud

Little Cloud is made from a piece of cedar, left over from a grape arbor I built a few years ago.

His head is about two inches tall.

Amoung other things I need to work on my eyes.

I found a number of links concerning this subject and will need to practice.

I ordered a few pieces of basswood last week and egerly await the arrival.

Good job Jim, keep up the good work. Try practicing making just eyes, I struggled with them for a long time and then for about a week did nothing but practiced on 1 1/2 square until I was happy with them.

Hi Jim,

Don't worry too much about the eyes. Yoy carving is nice and with practice you'll get there. I'm still struggling, too.

When you get your basswood, you'll be armed and loaded to go.

I just found an article in WCI issue # 20 by Jeff Phares on carving eyes and I can tell you it is the best one I've found. Jeff has a book out dedicated to just eyes, but if you get isue # 20 it will help you tremendously.
