Nice little carving Tom! How tall is this carving? Whats he look like laying on that quarter. I have noticed alot of min carvers stand a carving or carvings on a coin but laying a carving down and haven some of the coin left over is a better view of a little min. Im not pickin at your neat carving Tom so dont get me wrong for I think you did a great job on him plus Im looking forward to seeing some of your Obama's. Forrest

Forrest:
I put some of my minis on a coin to show the relative size of the carving. Everyone knows what size a coin is (or they can reach in a pocket and pull one out to look at it), so it makes a quick reference mark.

Tom: Nice little carving - very good likeness! For Obama, take a look at Lynn's carving.

Claude,Ive seen yours stacked on a coin before, but lay one down and lets see some coin left over! I know everyone knows the size of a coin but "most" people dont carry a carving around to compare it too.

Plus I saw you got my PM answering that you wrote me about where I get the silver rings for my wolves. But if you bought some from a craft store, which I bet you did, they will break........think about a teenager running and her bracelet or earings being held as she shows it off,it will soon break with the thin cheap silver ring from a craft store is why I bought mine from a jeweler. Plus if you carve larger{heavier} wolves for earings, hard on a young girls ears. The smaller the better on both. Claude, you have written me a number of PMs wanting to know how or why and whats about my carvings, etc. You could have done that also with out trying to correct my post to Tom.I find it very rude!!!Not to me but to Tom!

Thanks for your input Claude. Sorry Tom about raining on your little carving by posting Claude back on your post of your neat little carving for Ive always admired your carvings Tom H.

Forrest

Forrest, George's head is 1" tall and 3/4 " wide at the ears. The whole thing, with the base is 1 1/2" tall.
